Snowmass Ski Resort is one of four ski areas operated by the Aspen Skiing Company. It’s at the western side of the region, climbing into the mountains south of Snowmass Village. When you’re talking about ski resorts, this place qualifies as “vast”. They’ve got over 3,300 acres of skiable terrain containing 150 miles (241 km) of sking and snowboarding trails.

Location
Snowmass is the westernmost of the four ski areas near Aspen, located less than 7 miles west of Aspen and 4 miles west of Buttermilk. Vehicular access to the region is via Colorado Route 82, which connects to I-70 about 40 miles north at the town of Glenwood Springs. Non-stop flights are available from major cities during skiing season at Aspen Pitkin County Airport (ASE).
